Hobart College staff and students will be cleaning up the following areas as part of Clean Up Australia Day tomorrow:
• Mt Nelson Fire Station along Olinda Grove to the College
• Mt Nelson recreation oval and playground
• Mt Nelson Signal Station/Bicentennial Park
• Nelson Road
• City of Hobart Reserve Land
Clean Up College Day has traditionally been based on the HoCo campus, with many unusual items collected destined for landfill.
For 2021, the Student Environment Team wanted to step-up and connect with the College’s neighbours and community. Half of the 400 student volunteers will be cleaning up around the Mt Nelson roadways and reserves. Thanks to SPECTRAN for providing road signage, Veolia for the landfill skip, and all of our volunteers!
